La Banda
The Loopholes es una banda Anglo-guardesa formada por Bruce Salinas (guitarra, voz y armónica), y Daniel Alonso (percusión y coros). Fue fundada en el 2012 tras que ambos coincidiéramos tocando en varias jam sessions de la zona. Apostamos por el rock acústico, crudo e intimista, sin distorsiones ni artificios, o como nos gusta llamarlo: “folk-rock del Delta del Miño”. Somos un grupo flexible que se adapta sin complejos y con naturalidad a todo tipo de ambientes, desde grandes festivales a los rincones más recónditos de las calles. Por eso es habitual vernos tocando en plazas, parques, callejuelas, en plazas de abastos, mercados, etc ... a cambio tan solo de pequeños donativos de gentiles transeúntes.
En el 2013 debutamos en la escena musical con un Ep titulado "Last breath" que fue muy bien acogido por la prensa y blogs de música. Nuestro primer Lp (On the spur of the moment) saldrá a la venta en Octubre del 2015.
The Loopholes is an "anglo-guardesa" (La Guardia) band formed by Bruce Salinas (guitar, vocals and harmonica) and Daniel Alonso (drums and backing vocals). It was founded in 2012 after playing together in several local jam sessions. It was clear to us from the beginning that we should go for a raw but intimate acoustic sound without any distortion, which we later coined “folk-rock from the Miño´s Delta”. We are a very flexible band that adapts naturally and easily to all kinds of environments, so we can go from playing in big venues to playing in street corners. That is why it is so usual to see us playing in streets, markets, parks, alleyways, etc. In exchange we only ask onlookers for petty donations. Playing in streets also allows us to simultaneously revindicate the importance of popular culture.
Our first Ep, titled "Last breath", was released in 2013 and got very good reviews by the music press and blogs. Our first Lp (On the spur of the moment) was released in Deceber 2015.
